

The Stephen L. Green StreetSquash Community Center
In November 2008, StreetSquash opened the SL Green StreetSquash Community Center. With 8 international squash courts, 4 classrooms, and a library, the Center not only is the largest international squash court facility in New York City but has enabled StreetSquash to expanded its programs across the board. With the new facility, StreetSquash has grown in the following areas:
* Expanded the After-School Program to serve 150 children annually.
* Grown the College Prep Program to serve 100 children annually.
* Expanded the Summer Discovery and Youth Employment Program to serve over 300 children annually.
* Launched the Squash in Schools Physical Education Program that serves over 400 children annually through daytime squash instruction gym programs.
On Thursday November 20th, StreetSquash welcomed its supporters to the SL Green Community Center to celebrate the opening of the new facility. Speeches by Stephen Green, Board Chairman Jeffrey Laikind, Executive Director George Polsky, and Senator Hilary Clinton highlighted the evening’s affairs.
