The Stephen L. Green StreetSquash Community Center
Harlem, New York / Spring 2008

StreetSquash is building a community youth center that will allow us to serve over 1,000 Harlem public school children every year through a variety of programs. This 18,700 square foot facility will contain 8 squash courts, 4 classrooms, a library, a workout area, locker rooms and administrative offices for 14 StreetSquash staff members. This facility will be located on 115th Street between Lenox Avenue and Fifth Avenue and will enable StreetSquash to:

* Expand the After-School Program to serve 150 children annually.

* Grow the College Prep Program to serve 100 children annually.

* Expand the Summer Discovery and Youth Employment Program to serve over 300 children annually.

* Launch the Physical Education For Public Schools Program that will serve over 750 children annually through daytime squash instruction gym programs.

As of March 2007, we have raised $10.2 million of our $13 million goal. Our construction is on time for a Spring 2008 Grand Opening. Keep your eyes out for more news on the Steven L. Green StreetSquash Center!
